Builder Appointed To Construct State-Of-The-Art Schools
The Andrews Labor Government is on track to deliver 100 new schools across the state by 2026 with a building company appointed to construct the last four of the 14 schools set to open in 2021.
Minister for Education James Merlino today announced Kane Constructions had been appointed to build:
- Cranbourne West Secondary School (interim name) – Cranbourne West
- Pakenham Henry Road Secondary School (interim name) – Pakenham
- Thoroughbred Primary School (interim name) – Clyde North
- Timbertop Primary School (interim name) – Officer
Builders have already been announced for:
- Oberon High School – Armstrong Creek
- Docklands Primary School (interim name) – Docklands
- Edgars Creek Primary School (interim name) – Wollert
- Eynesbury Station Primary School (interim name) – Eynesbury
- Footscray High School, Pilgrim Street Campus – Seddon
- Greenvale North West Primary School (interim name) – Greenvale
- Merrifield West Primary School (interim name) – Mickleham
- Rockbank North Primary School (interim name) – Aintree
- Truganina South East Primary School (interim name) – Truganina
- Wollahra Primary School (interim name) – Wyndham Vale.
The builders will bring to life the architecturally designed schools that will deliver inspire learning, change and empower communities, and remove barriers to achievement.
The state-of-the-art schools will cater to the diverse needs of all Victorian students, providing what they need to thrive and encouraging them to actively engage with their education.
The Labor Government has invested $6.1 billion to deliver new primary and secondary schools, upgrade more than 1,400 existing ones and create over 7,500 construction jobs across the state.
