The SEC Is Powering Up And Helping You Save

Labor is making it easier and cheaper for Victorians to save money on their power bills.

Easy Electric SEC is a new, easy to use one-stop-shop to help households switch from gas to electric appliances.

Victorians can start using it from today.

Easy Electric SEC

We know going electric can be time-consuming and difficult.

Easy Electric SEC will simplify this process with free, easy to understand advice.

If families are ready to make the switch, they can access a statewide network of trusted, vetted SEC installers online or over the phone.

These experts are licensed to deliver upgrades including hot water, heating and cooling, cooking, solar, batteries and EV chargers.

They are authorised to provide rebates through Victorian Government programs including Solar Homes and the Victorian Energy Upgrades scheme.

Switching appliances from gas to efficient electric alternatives can save Victorians up to $1,900 a year.

Those savings can grow to as much as $2,230 annually when combined with rooftop solar.

Victorians can visit easyelectricsec.com.au to see how much they could save.

Expanding the SEC

In four years, the SEC has developed a portfolio of over one gigawatt of renewable projects.

This includes one of the biggest batteries in the country which is already contributing to lower household bills.

Now, a $303 million investment helps the SEC go even further – to invest in more new renewable energy assets, boosting supply and putting downward pressure on electricity prices.

These projects will form a pipeline of work for the SEC Apprenticeship Academy, providing real, hands-on experience across major renewable energy developments.
