20% Off Rego And Half Price PT From Today

Donald Trump’s War in the Middle East continues to push up prices at the pump and put families under pressure.

That’s why Labor is slashing the cost of driving and catching public transport.

20% off rego

With 20 per cent off rego starting today:

a driver with one car will receive up to $186 back

a family with two cars will receive up to $372 back.

You have two months to apply. Applications are open until 31 July 2026.

To be eligible for the rebate, Victorians need to have paid their registration between 1 July 2025 and 30 June 2026 for a light vehicle for personal use.

You’ll get the full rebate regardless of whether you pay your yearly rego in full or in installments.

You can claim for up to two vehicles in your name.

For more information and to apply, download the Service Victoria app or visit service.vic.gov.au/rego-rebate.

It’s all about putting money back in the pockets of Victorians while fuel prices remain high.

Half-price PT

Half-price public transport also starts today until the end of the year.

Under half-price fares, a full daily fare to travel anywhere across the state will cost $5.70, not $11.40.

This will save a regular commuter more than $850 between today and 1 January next year.

Free PT was always a temporary measure to help Victorians – now we’re slashing the cost of commuting for the rest of the year.

It means cheaper trains, trams and buses – across Victoria – every day, for everyone.

Public transport will remain permanently free for under 18s and other special pass holders.

The tap and go trial will also resume.

Only Labor has new solutions to make life easier, safer and more affordable.
