The Carroll Labor Government is celebrating the Victorians going above and beyond to keep vulnerable kids safe.

Minister for Children Lizzie Blandthorn announced this year’s recipients of the Victorian Protecting Children Awards ahead of National Child Protection Week.

Minister’s Award for Excellence in Protecting Children
Sanjai Kissun from the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing won for his work keeping children safe after they’ve fled war, conflict and disaster.

Engaging Kids in School Award
Kids First Australia’s Early Help Program won for tackling the barriers keeping vulnerable kids away from school.

Keeping At Risk Young People Safe Award
The Kookaburra Residential Care Team from Anglicare Victoria won for work that’s made young people safer and strengthened relationships in their care.

The Victorian Protecting Children Awards have honoured Victorians supporting vulnerable children and families for more than two decades.
