The Andrews Labor Government is supporting the launch of a new online system that will improve access to legal representation for the state’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged people.

More Victorian stroke patients are surviving and returning home thanks to Australia’s first ever dedicated stroke ambulance.

More Victorian students learning and playing outdoors are set to receive much-needed protection from harmful UV radiation thanks to new shade around their schools and sun protective items.

The Andrews Labor is boosting the state’s emergency response capability, with 20 additional jobs created for the Emergency Services Telecommunications Authority (ESTA) to help to keep Victorians safe in emergencies, focusing predominately on police calls.

The Andrews Labor Government is investing in more targeted courses to reduce adult illiteracy and innumeracy and make it easier for Victorians to get jobs.

Under the new law, when a person is found guilty by the Magistrates’ or Children’s Court and seeks to appeal their conviction, the County Court will no longer have to hear all evidence again to reach a new decision, eliminating the need for a new—or de novo—hearing.

Sport and recreation organisations helping Victorians get involved in regular activity have received a major boost through funding allocated under the Andrews Labor Government’s Together More Active program. 

Early works to remove four dangerous and congested level crossings, build two new stations and a two kilometre stretch of elevated rail in Preston will start next year.
