The Andrews Labor Government is looking for multicultural community leaders and advocates to fill a range of current and upcoming vacancies at the Victorian Multicultural Commission.

Minister for Multicultural Affairs Ros Spence announced that expressions of interest were now open to fill roles in the VMC, including Deputy Chairperson, the Community Representative Commissioner and the Youth Commissioner.

The VMC, led by Chairperson Viv Nguyen, provides advice to the Government, representing the needs and views of Victoria’s culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

The Commission consists of 12 commissioners who are appointed by the Governor-in-Council for terms of up to four years.

A number of sitting commissioners will have their terms end between August and September 2021, which presents an exciting opportunity to recruit passionate community leaders dedicated to making a difference for all Victorians.

These positions are critical in advocating for the needs of diverse communities and promoting multiculturalism across Victoria.

Expressions of interest are now open through fisherleadership.com/opportunities/victorian-multicultural-commissioners-expressions-of-interest/and will close on Monday, 8 February 2021. Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to lodge a formal application.
