Every Victorian deserves to get home safely.

That’s why the Allan Labor Government is investing up to $1.5 million to deliver road safety education programs across the state.

This year, 83 organisations across Victoria will receive funding to run 183 initiatives – reaching a wide range of vulnerable road users including:

• Children
• Older drivers
• Cyclists
• Motorcyclists
• Roadside workers.

Programs will include:

• 157 schools taking part in Bike Ed Challenge events – giving kids the skills to ride safely and independently.
• 50 Safe Driver sessions for older road users
• 24 schools funded for Safe Routes to School, creating safer pick up and drop off zones.

Community organisations know their local roads and the people who use them – that’s why backing them is one of the most effective ways to reduce road trauma.
