Every Victorian deserves to get home safely.
That’s why the Allan Labor Government is investing up to $1.5 million to deliver road safety education programs across the state.
This year, 83 organisations across Victoria will receive funding to run 183 initiatives – reaching a wide range of vulnerable road users including:
- Children
- Older drivers
- Cyclists
- Motorcyclists
- Roadside workers.
Programs will include:
- 157 schools taking part in Bike Ed Challenge events – giving kids the skills to ride safely and independently.
- 50 Safe Driver sessions for older road users
- 24 schools funded for Safe Routes to School, creating safer pick up and drop off zones.
Community organisations know their local roads and the people who use them – that’s why backing them is one of the most effective ways to reduce road trauma.
Only Labor has new solutions to make life easier, safer and more affordable.
