Five vital new community projects in Whittlesea – including a new centre for older people’s services, upgrades to playgrounds and outdoor spaces, to Mill Park library and an energy efficiency program – will receive more than $2.45 million from the Andrews Labor Government’s Growing Suburbs Fund, now approved by Local Government Minister Shaun Leane.
Volunteers and community groups that help protect and rehabilitate the state’s precious coastline have received almost half a million dollars in funding from the Victorian Government to continue their important work.
Whittlesea Community Connections is set to share in joint funding of almost $30 million from the Andrews Labor Government, and the Commonwealth, for community legal centres across the state to respond to coronavirus (COVID-19).
Community sport in Mill Park’s clubs is an integral part of our community and this support will help them pay the bills and make a return to play that little bit easier.
