Giving Epping Kids The School They Deserve
Students in Epping will have the modern classrooms and school facilities they need to get the great education they deserve, thanks to a major upgrade by the Andrews Labor Government.
Member for Mill Park Lily D’Ambrosio today announced Epping Secondary College will get $3 million in the Victorian Budget 2018/19 for an exciting new upgrade.
The funding will mean the Epping Secondary College can modernise their facilities, including refurbishing classrooms that are in poor condition.
The works will target facilities which need it most, ensuring that students can learn in an environment that is stimulating and helps deliver a modern education.
The Victorian School Building Authority will work with school staff to help identify where to best direct the funding, including through a ‘Bricks & Mortar’ training course.
The Labor Government is building the Education State so every Victorian student can get a great education and every community has access to a great local school.
This includes an unprecedented $2.8 billion investment to improve classrooms, upgrade facilities and build new schools across the state.
This school building boom has delivered more than 1,200 school upgrades and 64 new school projects across the state, supporting more than 5,000 construction jobs for Victorians.
We have now invested more than $2.8 billion to improve classrooms, upgrade facilities and build new schools across the state.
This contrasts with the Liberals and Nationals who let schools crumble and decay, while slashing $1 billion from the education budget.
